Swimming Pool Filters

Chlorine is used in public swimming pools to kill bacteria that could be dangerous to swimmers. Chlorine is vital for the health of the public using the pools, however, it’s equally important to make sure the levels of chlorine used are safe. Water can be absorbed and ingested by swimmers and so chemicals and contaminants must be removed (or reduced to safe levels) to protect the public’s health. We work with manufacturers of swimming pool filters to make sure these safety requirements and standards are met.

Activated carbon from Jacobi’s AquaSorb™ range is supplied to pool filter manufacturers to remove:

    • Any excess of oxidising agents, such as ozone or chlorine
    • Residual low molecular weight organics generated by oxidising process
    • Trihalomethanes (THM) and chloramines generated by chlorination
    • Taste and odours
    • Suspended solids by mechanical filtration

Specialised activated carbon product designed for a wide range of water treatment duties. Products in this range are compliant with international standards, including NSF, EN and AWWA. Moreover, they also meet the requirements of the Food Chemicals Codex. This ensures a high standard of performance in potable, process and waste water applications.
