De kemiska impregneringar som används ger exceptionellt hög kapacitet och stabilitet vid höga temperaturer för de mest krävande förhållanden. Aktivt kol fungerar utmärkt att impregnera där impregneringen reagerar kemiskt med kvicksilvret och håller kvar det i det aktiva kolet.
