Carbon has demonstrated the best performance of H2S removal due to its high capacity of both physical adsorption and chemisorption. Dynamic adsorption in a fixed bed configuration shows that the coal or anthracite activated carbons impregnated with alkali salts or metal complexes have given best results.
Sulphur is a common contaminant requiring removal from gas streams, whether it be for catalyst protection or the control of odorous emissions to the atmosphere. Jacobi’s AddSorb™ series is ideal for sulphur removal in air or oxygen deficient atmospheres, with exceptionally high capacity and in some cases, is suitable for in-situ regeneration.
