Acid and alkali gases can cause serious health problems and so their emission to the workplace and wider environment must be controlled. Compliance with emissions regulations is frequently only possible with the use of activated carbon, often polishing the exhaust of other technologies e.g. wet scrubbing. With the addition of chemical impregnation our Addsorb™ range of activated carbon is also able to manage certain inorganic compounds, including acid and alkali gases.
