Effective July 1, 2025, Jacobi will be implementing another price increase of 15-20% across all coconut shell-based activated carbons, depending on product-grade. This adjustment is necessitated by a continued surge in raw material costs, which regrettably leaves us with no choice but to revise our pricing structure.

The root cause of the cost increase is related to the limited availability of coconuts in a large part of Asia and the high demand for coconut products, charcoal and activated carbon. More details about this can be found in our recent Sustainability newsletters. Fortunately, Jacobi is best positioned to source sufficient volumes of charcoal across Asia to secure supply by using our 6 activation plants. However, ensuring reliable and continued supply comes at a cost. We have diligently explored various avenues to mitigate the price increase. We want to assure you that every effort is being made to streamline our operations and minimise any adverse effects on our customers. Our dedicated teams in sourcing, production, and logistics are working to ensure uninterrupted supply chain operations. However, despite our best efforts, our extensive network and strategic sourcing throughout Asia, the escalating costs incurred have exceeded our ability to absorb them.

Rest assured, we remain steadfast in our commitment to providing you with the highest quality products and services despite the prevailing challenges. The new prices will be invoiced as of July 1, 2025.
