Referred to as Carbo Vegetalis in the Pharmacopeia, powdered activated carbon can work rapidly to tackle many medical issues, including both major problems, such as poisoning, and more minor ones, like indigestion. We supply both powdered and granulated carbon from our Picactif™ range to be incorporated into medicines which are used for:

• Lowering cholesterol levels and treating cholestasis during pregnancy
• Preventing flatulence prior to abdominal radiography procedures
• Adsorbing toxins during blood dialysis (preventing potentially life-threatening contaminations)
• Treating stomach problems, including diarrhoea, indigestion and flatulence
• Preventing odours in wounds, or even infection, by incorporating carbon into dressings
