FLUE GAS & MERCURY REMOVAL

Hazardous Waste Incinerators

Jacobi EcoSorb™ and AddSorb™ series in powdered, granular and extruded form are the best solution to treat these kinds of flue gas streams.

Jacobi offers products from both the AddSorb™ and EcoSorb™ series of powdered activated carbons for direct injection to flue gas streams. Typical powdered activated carbon dosage ranges from 50-200 mg/Nm3. The highly variable stream composition presents a treatment challenge in this application.

Conversely, AddSorb™ VQ series extruded and granular carbons can be utilised in fixed or moving bed operations. Providing extremely high adsorption capacity for mercury (Hg) these versatile products can remove up to 70% of their own weight in mercury vapour.

HAZARDOUS WASTE INCINERATORS: PRODUCTS

AddSorb™

AddSorb™

Addsorb™ VQ Extruded and GAC series for the use in fixed bed filters provides different grades for the removal of mercury from flue gas.

Addsorb™ VQN PAC – powdered carbon for dry injection into the flue gas. It immobilises oxidized and metallic mercury as mercuric sulfide (HgS).  This mercury salt is extremely stable, non-hazardous and insoluble, preventing it from being reemitted to the atmosphere and providing safe, economic disposal as a solid waste.

EcoSorb™

EcoSorb™

EcoSorb™ BP, CB, SP and XP PAC series.

Activated carbons designed for a diverse range of air and gas purification duties. Featuring both powdered types; these products exhibit the high microporosity necessary to adsorb efficiently in the gaseous phase. Moreover, the EcoSorb BP, XP and CB-series use a novel method to increase the mesoporosity of the product to improve gas diffusion into the pore structure, especially important where gas to sorbent contact time is limited.
