Activated carbon is the principal means of protection against chemical warfare agents in civilian applications. Jacobi provides numerous specially impregnated grades in full compliance with current civil defence regulations, all predicated on chromium-free formulations. AddSorb™
Grades like AddSorb™ MGR are available which are used to remove Toxic Industrial Chemicals (TIC) from air. Jacobi also provides grades for the protection against warfare gases. Different formulations are available to comply with various civil defence regulations. The grades can either be used in individual respirator devices or in collective protection systems and can be supplied in granular as well as in powdered form.
