In alcuni casi, il solvente da recuperare risulta sensibile alla degradazione ad alte temperature oppure agli azeotropi dell’aria o dell’acqua. Per citare degli esempi di alcuni solventi, possiamo pensare al tetraidrofurano e al solfuro di carbonio. Con queste sostanze si preferisce eliminare il carbone saturato con il gas inerte caldo; in genere si utilizza l’azoto che separa il flusso di gas concentrato tramite la refrigerazione o il raffreddamento. In questo caso si controlla la reattività del solvente per poi ottimizzare il recupero a un grado molto elevato di adsorbimento.
