AddSorb

Our series of specialty impregnated activated carbons for vapour applications such as acid gases, basic gases, formaldehyde, mercury, and odour control. Included within the AddSorb range are our industry leading grades for personal protection devices.

Some of the common AddSorb grades include:

  • GA Series – very high activity carbons designed for organic vapour (OV) claims for respirators.
  • KC-Plus – catalytic grade designed for hydrogen sulphide removal and regenerable via water washing.
  • MGR Series – specialty impregnated grade designed for multicontaminant removal in respirator devices.
  • Sulfox and Sulfox-HC – specialty products developed with very high hydrogen sulphide capacities for odour control applications.
  • Supercap A – extremely high purity, high capacity carbon for supercapacitor applications
  • VA Series – impregnated carbons designed for acid gas removal

AquaSorb

Activated Carbons designed for water treatment, covering applications such as drinking water, effluent wastewater, industrial process water, beverage processing, and home water filters. Our AquaSorb grades comply with NSF, EN, and AWWA standards for drinking water treatment, are accredited by regulatory agencies like NSF in the USA and KIWA in the Netherlands, and also meet the requirements of the Food Chemicals Codex.

A sampling of our grades within the AquaSorb family includes:

  • 1000 Series – direct activated granular carbons with combined micropore/mesopore volume for the removal of low to medium molecular weight organic compounds.
  • 5000 Series – mesoporous granular carbons designed for removal of large molecular weight organics and colour compounds.
  • 6000 Series – agglomerated granular carbons with combined micropore/mesopore volume for removal of low to medium molecular weight compounds.
  • C Series – highly microporous granular carbons with superior removal of low molecular weight, trace level organics. Includes CX-MCA, a catalytic product with superior performance for chloramine and hydrogen sulphide removal from water.
  • H Series – acid washed grades for exceptional product purity, designed for beverage and ultrapure water applications
  • L Series – silver impregnated carbons for bacteriostatic claims in home water filter devices.
  • PICABIOL – Unique granular carbon for the treatment of drinking water by means of a biologically active processes.

ColorSorb

A wide range of activated carbon products specifically designed for colour removal applications, including food, chemical, and pharmaceutical purification.

Some of the more common ColorSorb grades include:

  • HP Series – high decolorization capacity powdered grades manufactured via chemical activation of wood substrates. Available in a variety of powdered grinds, activity levels, and pH ranges.
  • G Series – highly mesoporous powdered grades manufactured via steam activation of wood substrates. Available in a variety of grinds and activity levels.
  • SP Series – extremely high purity, microporous powdered grades designed to pharmaceutical and food additive standards
  • HPX – powdered grade with a unique blend of micropores and macropores to achieve a blend of colour and trace organic/odour removal.
  • XFP Series – powdered carbon range designed for edible oil purification
  • 600 Series – high activity, granular agglomerated carbons for fixed bed decolorization
  • H100 and H600 series – high purity, acid washed grades manufactured by direct activation (H100 series) or agglomeration (H600 series) for process decolorization in fixed bed systems.
  • BAK – granular product with pH buffering agent for sugar decolorization.

EcoSorb

Activated carbons designed for air and gas treatment, covering a diverse set of applications including VOC abatement in air, odour control, solvent recovery, process gas purification, residential and commercial air treatment devices, cigarette filters, and cabin air filters and evaporative loss devices in automobiles.

A sampling of common grades within the EcoSorb family includes:

  • C Series – highly microporous granular grades designed for efficient removal of low molecular weight organic compounds in air and as catalyst support.
  • GX Series – extruded pellet carbons for general air treatment
  • BX Series – extruded pellet carbons specially designed for regenerable applications such as solvent recovery and gasoline vapour recovery.
  • HX Series – acid washed extruded pellet carbons designed for sensitive vapour applications where high product purity is required.

Our industry leading product line designed for precious metals recovery in mining facilities. GoldSorb and PICAGOLD carbons are optimised for this application, providing good adsorption and elution characteristics, exhibiting maximum product hardness, high resistance to attrition and producing fewer fines during regeneration.

PetroSorb

Activated carbon products designed for the oil and gas industry, covering water treatment, vapour treatment, and process applications in petrochemical facilities.

The PetroSorb series includes the following grades:

  • 1000 Series – direct activated granular carbons with combined micropore/mesopore volume for the removal of low to medium molecular weight organic compounds in water and process (amine/glycol streams)
  • 6000 Series – agglomerated granular carbons with combined micropore/mesopore volume for removal of low to medium molecular weight compounds in water and process (amine/glycol streams)
  • 80 and 90 – standard grade direct activated products designed for wastewater purification
  • GX Series – extruded pellet carbons for general air treatment
  • BX Series – extruded pellet carbons specially designed for regenerable applications such as solvent recovery and gasoline vapour recovery.
  • G-SWC80 – Standard activity granular activated carbon utilized as a support media for the catalysis of chemical reactions. Very low density material and thus advantageous in volume fill applications.
  • H Series – acid washed grades for exceptional product purity, designed for condensate purification. Includes our HS-D product for low silica leaching.

EcoSorb QS-Advanta

A unique liquid precipitation agent, designed for simultaneous removal of both elemental and ionic mercury from flue gas streams by precipitation and oxidation.  This product can be added into wet scrubbers to immobilize and prevent the reemission of mercury from the scrubber solution, or dosed directly into flue gas streams to capture mercury.  The mercury species is converted to an insoluble salt that is thermally stable and safe for disposal within solid waste.
