Jacobi Carbons Vietnam ships 2000th container of product

Jacobi Carbons Vietnam (JCV) today exported its 2000th container from the factory in Ben Tre. Having been in production fully since 2011, this is fantastically exciting and an incredible achievement. Let’s join together in cheering and congratulating JCV on this milestone. Well done!

coconutsOriginally conceived and constructed by PICA (then part of the Veolia Group), JCV has flourished under the Jacobi Carbons South East Asia management team. Headed up by Emilie Lavinh, JCV has consistently increased efficiency and output enabling this feat to be achieved.

In numbers it is truly remarkable. 400 containers per year means the shipment of at least one every day, 365 days per year. Based on FEU this is 8800MT per year or 44,000MT in total. Recent expansion plans which will be realised in 2016, and this will result in a further incremental increase in processing capacity.

JCV is one of five activation faciliites wholly owned and operated by Jacobi across its Asian manufacturing platform. As a part of the largest coconut shell manufacturing group, each of the facilities has its own specialities, using common production and equipment technologies. This gives a high degree of consistency between plants and provides unprecedented flexibility to meet our customer’s requirements.
